Please One of my teacher got leukemia What should I do or tell her She need O type of blood every we
Has your teacher discussed treatment options? Here's a few things you could do:
1. Organize a blood drive. You could do this through your school. Contact the American Red Cross. They can help you with the details and even arrange for a bus to come to you.
2. Consider a bone marrow drive. Often, this is an effective treatment for leukemia. People are tested to see if they are a match. Again, contact the American Red Cross for details. I am on the bone marrow registry. I have made preliminary matches for 8 people so far but I was knocked out in the early rounds of testing because I was not a complete match. If people aren't a match for your teacher, they might be a match for someone else. The odds are approximately 1 in 100,000.
3. Consider organizing a fund raiser. Treatment for any type of cancer is really expensive. The costs for her and her family will be HUGE...even with health insurance.
Most of all, offer support. She will be facing some difficult times. She will need all she can get. It's admirable that you want to help her. I applaud you for that. Keep up the good work. I'm sure she will appreciate whatever you can do for her.
Of course, you should ask her how she feels about you doing these things for her. She may not be ready. On the other hand, she may want to tackle this head on. Sit down with her and talk with her. Tell her you want to help and ask her what you can do. Even if she wants you to do nothing right now, just the thought of people wanting to help will be appreciated.
Well, it depends on your relationship with her. If you used to talk with her before, than ask her what could you do. It could be a good idea to create something nice for her, like a picture, postcard, T-shirt...its up to you! You may pray and/or meditate for her health, its been proven that prayer (doesnt matter what religion) increases chances of recovery!
