She has had a earache for about 2 months...they been giving her steroids, and now they have given her nasal spray for a month..if it doesn;t close up in a month they're going to operate.. and puss keeps ooozing out of her ear.

any suggestions as to what she can do to keep from getting the surgery?

Answer:

I get the same thibg but I just tilt my head on side for hours to let it drain. Surgury would close it up and the puss would build up again and just pop again. I dunno what surgury would do unlees she gets tubes. She is allergic to something that cause her to form that puss. Maybe she should go see an allergist.

I had holes in both my eardrums when I was a kid and had to get tubes twice.

The only thing I can suggest is making sure she doesn't get any water in there when taking a shower. That might get it infected which hurts pretty bad, believe me.

Make sure nothing hits her in the side of the head (obviously) and if you're already swimming, no diving or jumping in from high places.

It's pretty hard to do anything besides letting it heal on it's own because of the location it's in.
