My children both have dilated pupils the majority of time, could this be relating to their diet

my son is ASD and my daughter has dyspraxia. my son who is eight also recently started to become very smelly under is arms, is this normal

Answer:

I don't know if this is helpful or not, but when I was younger, I had dilated pupils for the majority of the time too. My parents say I still have them at times, but not as often. I have an ASD too, Asperger's. But I have birth defects with my eyes too. It may be a good idea to set up an appointment with the eye doctor or maybe a neurologist just to make sure everything is okay. I also have read Ritalin will cause this.

OK, get some deodorant and some home drug tests, dilated pupils is not normally related to diet unless you feed them magic brownies (marijuana baked in)
Oh wow, never heard of that! I have seven children and I have not seen anything like that. They are ages 4 to 15. Are you checking their pupils in darkly lit rooms? Try using a light and see if that shows a change. (I know as a parent you probably already have checked with a light).I do know that not everyone's pupils are the "same size." So perhaps considering they are siblings, its just a trait? But I do understand your question about the diet, considering both of them have this. I would suggest not only googling this question, but also getting an appointment with their pediatrician.

Good luck!

Is it just consitantly large or are the pupils odd shapes too? could be worth going to gp or optician in case there is an infection like iritis
