My cousin is in 8th grade and he wants to know what work outs can he do to get bigger muscles in his arms , and is it possible for him to get abs ?

Answer:

You cousin can do body-weight exercises - google it - you'll find lots of them. His body has to grow as a whole, so focusing on abs and biceps won't help as much as doing exercises that strengthen his entire body.

yes he can get abs but i wouldn't really recommend him working out intensely yet because it will stop him from growing..he can work out lightly but he shouldn't start until he is at least 15.
Best advice I have is to buy your cousin some fitness magazines, they have lots of tips and routines you can get into. They tell you how to do it right and how to eat and they know what there talking about.
Abs are possible at just about any age, but especially at an early age while you're still growing. As far as arms, the problem so many people make is that they only target their biceps and forget totally about their triceps. but the triceps compose half of the upper arm. don't just do barbell curls and preacher curls, but triceps extensions and pulldowns as well. Try to increase your intake of protein as well.
strengthening your arms by working

out with 1 or 2 pound dumbbells

I would encourage him to take up something recreational that will help develop his upper body.... Boxing for example. It will help him get stronger arms, killer abs and self-discipline to boot.
