Answer:
Yes! It's so important! When you work out, your cells are working harder than usual and need more oxygen to function, which makes more waste to get rid of. The waste, called lactic acid, builds up and that's what makes you sore. Stretching helps rid your muscles of some of that lactic acid, and makes you not quite as sore. Plus it helps you with flexibility and just plain feels good!
to me...so i wont get muscle cramps or soreness...it helps a lot.
gets the blood flowing to ur muscles so they can heal faster. Also, it is the time were your muslces are most flexible, so you can i ncrease ur flexibility faster.
because if you dont your muscles are going to hurt from being worked out on to hard and not being worked up a little first so unless you can toleate pain you have to stretch every part of your body
your muscles could cramp up if you dont, and it helps muscle growth,
i dont know why
I've always heard it is good to stretch before working out to keep from hurting yourself, but I not sure about after. Maybe the same thing.
To stop the acid building up in your muscles and making them stiff and sore.
I've always done before AND after so my muscles don't end up bulky. Long and lean is much better on a girl.
no no no stretch before so your losend up and you dont accidently pull one of your muscles or tendons or ligaments or inflame them.
Keep muscles from cramping up.
I actually just read an article explaining why it was dangerous to strech after working out. Because your muscles are warm, you can overstretch them.
