A couple good answers here. Also, fried foods contain a LOT more fat than normal, and it doesn't take much fat to fulfill daily requirements, so in essence you're getting a large excess of fat.

It's true that not all fat oils are created equal; some fats are much better for you than others. However, an excess is an excess which isn't good.

yeah i guess that greasy **** is more absorbed in our food when the food is completely submerged in it. I still eat fast food, just don't eat the fries or fried chicken. I stick with burgers, tacos, grilled chicken. I eat chik-fil-a, but they use peanut oil which has no trans fats I think.
When cooking oils get overheated a fraction of the nitrogen bearing molecules convert to carcenogenic molecules. Also free radicals are formed.
The foods absorb al lot of oil. and with chips the skinnier they are the more oil they absorb
