Why do my thighs seem bigger after working out
I have just began working out at a local gym, and have noticed my pants seem tighter around the thighs. Everyone says you gain muscle by working out; however, I don't want to have bigger thighs. What am I doing wrong? I do 1 hour of cardio 5 times a week, and 30 minutes of weights twice a week. I am drinking TONS of water, and trying to eat healthier. Should I do more weights?
Answer:your not doing anything wrong, after you work out, your muscles seem bigger.but then they lower down in a few minutes.keep doing what your doing.
wow me tooooooooo but i dont think you should even do wieghts because thats what causes you to have a muscular body and thats ugly for females
You are building muscle...this will increase the size of anything that you are exercising for...diet must play as much in the role to "reduce" as exercising...some people just "build up" instead of decrease the area they are working on...Find a nutritionist or even ask your doctor for alternatives...Good Luck.
Your muscles become engorged with blood during workouts, so yes, you will look and feel a little 'bigger' in the areas you've worked for an hour or so post-workout.
Should you do more weights? To do what? The question seems a bit out of context.
What you're doing doesn't sound like enough to have built significant muscle bulk.
I hear the same nonsense from my wife after she goes for her once a month bike ride.
You're building muscle in them, so they're growing, but since muscle burns more calories than fat, they'll soon slim down. Give it some time, so don't give up exercise! You'll only hurt yourself in the long run :)
What cardio are you doing? If you're doing the bike, elliptical or stepper you may be overdoing your legs, thus they're growing big time. Try the treadmill instead.
