Why Cant I Lose Weight
I know this is silly, but I'm at a loss. I'm about 160, which is about 30 lbs over average for my height. I eat very well, 6 small meals, balanced nutrition, whole foods, lots of veggies, fruits, lean meats, etc. Average about 1200-1500 calories a day. I am moderately active. I have no thyroid problems. I maintain weight within 2 pounds of where I am now. I have given up on diets, as none have been effective, and opted to be healthy instead. However I am still frustrated. There's no thyroid issues. I did have a baby 8 months ago, and surgery 3 months ago. I can't think of any other pertinent information. Please only serious answers.
Answer:Keep doing what you're doing. Try to pick up the exercise a little. But I found, that once I wasn't so occupied with losing weight but continued healthy habits, I just noticed a significant difference one day.
But I must add, if you are not doing strength training (lifting weights) than you are missing out. Weights (even 5-8lb) will help you build muscle which burns fat. Your metabolism will rise and as you continue you'll notice a significant difference over time. BOOSTING YOUR METABOLISM is key. Later you will be able to eat more (still healthy) and keep losing.
