See both digital and manual scale work on the same principle that is a spring that compressed when you stand on the machine and they give you the results. The difference in the weight will always be there from machine to machine and hence what you should do is preferably stand on the same machine wearing similar outfit ( i.e is I always weigh myself with my shoes on) and the relative weight from one reading to another reading is enough for us to calculate our weight for the sake of health, afterall we are not weighing gold or anything but ourselves and this relative weight with plus or minus will not do much of a harm because unless there is a difference of 5 kg or more only we should be concerned. Did you tare the digital scale? If you put whatever you are weighing in a bowl or something, and you put the bowl on the scale, and then tare the scale, it won't account the bowl's weight with the wieght of your item. That may be your problem. That or you need a new scale. :-)
