When is it too late at night to go for a mile or two run? Is a couple hours before bed ok?

you should exercise two hours before you go to bed oh and i would say later than 9pm is to late =D


I'd say about three hours before bed. I usually finish four hours before, but three is good.
It is always too late to exercise at night when it is only seconds before the sun comes up.

I read recently in an article about good sleeping habits. It stated that you shouldn't do anything strenuous within two hours of your anticipated bedtime.
It's never too late to exercise. I used to go until 1 or 2 in the morning (a few years ago).
Depends on your own body. The only concern is not being able to fall asleep (besides getting hit by a car). Usually it takes about an hour and a half for your body to cool down. So just try a few different times and see what allows you to fall asleep at your regular interval. That is your only concern.
When I was super serious about working out, I started in the summer. And since it gets in the 100's I would wait until 9 at night when the sun went down to run a few laps around the apartment complex I lived in at the time which was about 2-2.5 miles. I would sleep like a baby after a nice shower after my run!
It is never too late. I used to come home from work at 1130pm-1230am and work out for about an hour-shower and hit the sack. I actually slept better!
