should we cater to them or make them get up and do something for themself?

Answer:

no, i don't think that we should cater to them. that is a self inflicted problem. granted, yes, there are people that have validated medical conditions that cause them to be overweight. i'm not talking about those people. i'm talking about the people like this lady at Sam's toady when i was shopping. Sam's has a person at the door check your receipt as you leave. she was sitting in a chair and making people walk over to her and hand them their tickets. i realize that's it's not easy standing on your feet all day, but she's in one position, not even walking around. 1'm 9 months pregnant and had my 1 year old son with me and she still sat their and made me walk over to her. absolutely ridiculous!

Well, there is really nothing we can do. People choose their lifestyle. America also focuses a lot of losing weight, but they don't realize that eating unhealthy doesn't only lead to being obsese, it also leads to heart attacks, and so much other problems. Mind over matter and smartness really determine people's size.
