I am planning on running a 10 mile run in June I would like to know what is the best thing to eat or drink the morning of and the night before.
Answer:Make sure to run on an empty stomach.
Don't eat at least 4-5 hours before running or drink water right before to avoid cramps.
Eat light and healthy meals prior to the run and run each night so the day of the run you don't get drained after 3 miles.
Good luck
an low fat yougurt or a grapefruit. Grapefruit will contnue to burn calories...
Stay off the kitchen it might smell good over there...
Something with a lot of potasium (banannas). And water. If your doing that long of a run, dont drink any sport drinks, just water, anything else will just weigh you down.
Umm....yogurt, cereal, or a fruit of some sort.
Lots of carbs. Breads, pasta, etc. You'll need the sustained energy.
I'm from Boston and we have the Boston Marathon every year. All you hear about is how the runners stock up on pasta and orange juice. They're suppose to be really good for runners.
The night before, eat something with beans and sour cream.
That morning, try something like yogurt.
Eat Pasta the night before and that morning eat light, like a banana or a bagel. you can also go to Runners World website for tips on what to do before a long run at www.runnersworld.com
Id say the best thing to eat for your 10 mile run would be bananas.
