i have celluite around my stomach and buttocks. i am using an over the counter products but they don't last very long.

Answer:

Squats, butt lifts, lunges and ham string excercises work best.

Cellulite is caused by two things, 1) Fatty tissue and 2) Connective tissue.

The first can be taken care of primarily by diet and working out. Drink your fair share of water, don't eat too much and work out to maintain your metabolism.

The second is more problematic and gets worse as you age because collagen is not regenerated so the tissue becomes less elastic and of course most people gain weight as they age because of a less active life style and a drop in metabolism. This is where Velasmooth or mesotherapy come in handy.

Well there is a product by Lorea'l, called sublime slim...to take away cellulite. I don't have much but it seems to be working. they have a day and night gel and one for the abs as well. Supposed to tone and smooth. I like it. Find it at CVS pharmacy.

Unfortunatley, cellulite is genetic. Even if you lose weight, it doesn't mean your cellulite will go away. I've heard of some professional creams and treatments, but too be honest they cost a lot of money and I'm not sure that they do much.
