health advisory Diet Diet 2007-11-11 21:02:45

I live in the US and eat American Food..I'm like 5'8 but everyone's taller than me anyways. I am 15 yrs old and Im a guy.

Answer:

I have some Asian friends, their height average is around 5'9". So I think your height is average since you are only 15yrs and still can grow taller.

The average height for a North American male is about 5'8-5'9". But it really depends on the region you live.

There is no quantitative research on Asian Americans, however, it would be hard to sample for, as Asian American includes everyone from Samoans to Japanese to Asian Indian.

As an example, if you are Chinese, your ancestry could be from about one of 55 areas/groups/regions, that vary in height from Yao to peasant, over a huge piece of land that has been inhabited for 1000s of years by the same peoples.

If you live in America, you are probably most likely from the south of China/Taiwan or HK-- which, actually, should make you the shorter people of China.

Anyhow, 5'8" is average height, unless you hang out with dudes that are much taller. Also, remember Cruise, Deniro, and a slew of celebrities are shorter than you, so just learn to use your image to your advantage.
