Running Any cardio vascular excersize is good to increase your stamina.
Try swimming. It is the only exercise that actually gives every muscle in the body a bit of a workout. It also builds up the upper body.
Indian run: I used to run at least 3 miles all out, then do squats with weights and jump on boxes. Time yourself. My best was 4 miles in 25 minutes (my house to Joe Louis arena and back)
Run up hills
any excersice as long as you feel the blood rush into your body parts, increases stamina.
sprints
you can try running long-distance with short-quick bursts of sprints. same goes with swimming. really depends which you prefer. you need to get your heart pumping for longer periods to get used to it. that's what increases your stamina
