Unfit means not being able to do the things that are consider normal and healthy for someone your age, size and gender. Factor as weight, heart rate, oxygen intake, bone density, amount of fat, cholesterol, etc. are taken into consideration to determine if someone is withing the normal limits or not.

Fit is someone who is within the normal limits considered for his/her age, gender, and size.

Fitness (as unfitness) degrees vary. Someone can be properly fit, but fat away from the performance of elite athletes. Nobody needs to have the qualifications of a class athlete to be consider fit. Many times class athletes stress so much their bodies that they may stand in the unfit section of what is consider normal and healhty.

To improve one fitness do the following:

Eat healthy and what you need (not all you want, or less that what you need)

Eat accordingly to age, gender, and activity level.

Exercises; both cardio and muscle building exercises.

Just a couple of hours a week are needed.

Rest properly.


I'm not sure that being unfit is actually the opposite of being fit.

unfit for me means 10lbs over weight (150lbs) or when i pants are getting to tight. i just quit drinking soda, cut my bread intake, no fast food, more water, and i start walking
