I am a 20 year old female, 5'4", and 117 pounds. I really don't care about my weight; I just want to thin my thighs and firm up my booty! And, most importantly, I want to be in good shape. ANYWAYS, I just bought a pair of jeans that fit me but are too tight; I'd really like to be able to just slip right into them as a birthday present to myself! My birthday is May 5th. Here is the plan I came up with:
Monday: Pilates (45 min), jogging (30 min)
Tuesday: Pilates (45 min)
Wednesday: Pilates (45 min), jogging (30 min)
Thursday: Pilates (45 min)
Friday: Pilates (45 min), jogging (30 min)
Saturday: Pilates (45 min), jogging (30 min)
Sunday: rest!
I'm eating 1200 calories per day, all in fruits, veggies, whole grains, poultry, tuna, and non-fat dairy products. No fried, sugary, fatty, or high-carb foods! And lots of water!
How long do you think it will take me to slim down doing all that? Will I be able to slip right into those jeans by my birthday? Any other advice?
Answer:You'll see changes within a few week.
The schedule is good if you are active and in shape already. However, I am always advised not to run 2 days in a row. Maybe cut out the jogging on Saturdays unless you are an athlete. 3 days a week is good. Nice rest day for Sunday.
The deit looks good, but remember not to deprive yourself completely. Some fat/sugar/salt is good for you. You could always give yourself a small reward treat to stay motivated. A treat once in a while will not hurt.
I think eating 1200 calories a day will come back and bite you. The next diet will work less well. The one after that, less well. Your body will learn that you're going to starve it periodically and it will slow down its metabolism.
