Is it harmful to my health to simply eat fruits and vegetables for a week straight or longer? I'm taking a daily vitamin and mineral supplement already. Is there anything I should be careful of or watch out for? It's not a permanent thing, I just want to "force" myself to try different types of fruits and veggies while trying to lose weight.

Answer:

eat all the veggies that you want. the body needs proteins for the muscles and fats to produce various hormones. with out sufficient intake of those you will lose muscle mass and also decrease the level of testosterone that is produced. how much fruit you can eat depends on your body composition. persons with a higher than average level of body fat should eat minimal amounts of fruit until body fat is under control.

eating too much of the wrong foods with a low level of activity causes the body to increase fat stores. to decrease body fat you need to increase the level of activity and have sufficient intake of the "right" nutrients.

There are people who all they eat are fruits and vegtables~! I tihnk that u will be ok~! good luck..........
you'll be fine. this is probably healthier than the diet you had before.
yes, that could be harmful to your health. just eat a normal balanced diet. there are a lot of things you need to eat that are not supplied in just fruits and vegetables, although they are very good for your health. to lose weight, count your calories and make sure it is less than the calories that you burned for the day(2000 is average, 2500 with good exercise).
Sure, its a vegan diet. You can find lots of resources on veganism online. Just make sure that you have some source of protein if you are exercising, beans are a good choice, or tofu.
It's ok to be a vegan but you have to ensure that you make sure that you have adequate nutrition. What is lacking in your daily diet, you must find other sources.
Yes it is harmful to your health to eat only fruits and vegetables for more than a few days. It is not harmful to eat a diet of only plant foods, but fruits and veggies do not cover the full spectrum. Other plant foods necessary as part of a well rounded diet include beans, legumes, nuts, seeds, whole grains, brown/wild rice, etc...
