i've had braces for about 3 months now and i'm wondering if i should use the mouthwash. it says it whitens your teeth so i want to know if it discolors the brace colors or anything? Also, is using whitening toothpaste going to help or worsen my teeth?
Answer:YOU MUST WAIT TILL AFTER THEY COME OFF OR ELSE YOU WILL HAVE LITTLE YELLOW SQUARES WHERE TEH BRACES WERE WHEN THE BRACES ARE TAKEN OFF.
Don't whiten your teeth while wearing braces.
If you do, when the braces come off, you'll have little, square dark spots where the braces were glued to your teeth and the whitening agent couldn't reach.
It looks absurd.
Anything with whitening will make your teeth discolored when you get your braces off. Wait to whiten until after they are removed or else you will have yellow spots.
