I heard that it's a laser whitening. Is that true?

Hi there,

Based on my experience, laser teeth whitening (i.e. Zoom) or light whitening (BriteSmile) are not only the most effective way to whiten teeth, but the safest. I've had BriteSmile and loved it. The reason why most people have a better time with chair-side treatments is because the solution sits on your teeth and gums for an hour tops, and you shouldnt have to get another treatment for at least 1-1 1/2 years, and up to 3 years, just depending on your eating/drinking habits and oral hygeine. I tried using those Rembrandt trays that you leave in for 30 minutes to an hour, but they really irritated my gums after a while and started affecting the nerves in my teeth, making them sensitive to hot and cold stuff. Usually you'll get a bleaching pen after treatment for a touch up, but you shouldn't have to worry about maintenance, it's really up to you. If you notice them getting a little duller, there are often pastes and pens offered by the manufacturer that your dentist will give you.

Bottom line, I found laser to be a lot gentler on my teeth. The sensitivity only lasted a couple hours after treatment, they put a rubber dam around my gums so I didn't have to worry about the blistering/irritation I got with the trays, and there's no maintenance. You can get laser whitening. You should try crest white strips though. You can buy them at the department store ( like wal-mart or something) They work good.

well i use Crest pro health whitening strips. Theyre on the expensive side but they work!
