What is inside toothpaste made for sensitive teeth that makes it different from ordinary toothpaste
it is a potassium nitrate and more stronger concentration of sodium flouride, this is more potent for those people that experiencing toothsensitivity if they eat sweets, drink cold water and or hot beverages. what makes your teeth sensitivite could be in a lot of causes, it could be toothbrush abrasion which is typically brushing your teeth hard which causes the enamel to abrade and exposes the secondary layer of your teeth which is the dentin which has alot of dental tubules to it, dental tubules connects with your root that sends the feeling or sensation. or it could be gum recession due to periodontitis or gum disease or it could be bruxism or teeth grinding.. hope this piece of advise help you. till here take care and good luck
it has a chemical in it that works like a very mild novacaine. It just doesn't numb your mouth
fluoride
Potassium nitrate is used in toothpastes to make teeth less sensitive to pain. As gums recede and the tooth root or dentin becomes exposed to hot or cold foods, the teeth can become hypersensitive, resulting in pain. Potassium nitrate interferes with the transmission of pain signals in the nerves of the teeth, after a few weeks of brushing with a toothpaste containing it. Generally you will need to use this toothpaste in place of your regular toothpaste indefinitely. Any toothpaste that advertises "sensitivity" will most likely have this ingredient.
Good Luck!
