You should clean your dentures once or twice a day as you would your teeth. Use a toothbrush/nailbrush with soap/toothpaste over a bowl of water so that if you drop your dentures in the sink they will not smash.

You should keep your dentures out at night so that you do not develop any infections such as thrush. Wearing your teeth all night and all day is like wearing a pair of shoes for 24 hours you need to let your mouth breathe.

If your dentures are all plastic then you can store them in COLD water and a mild bleach such as Milton for babies bottles or just a small amount of hosehold bleach. Rinse dentures well before putting them back in! If you have any metal on your dentures do not use bleach it will corrode the metal. Sterdent is then a suitable method of cleaning them. You should oly do this to your dentures once a week just store them overnight in COLD water the other times.

The most important point is that you MUST NOT use hot water it will literally drain the colour out of your dentures.

So just toothpaste/soap and water to clean daily and after meals and clean in bleach/steardent once a week
