Answer:We don't just push buttons, and we get no extra money for taking more pictures - just an hourly wage.
We go through 2-4 years of intense education and training. Not only do we x-ray chests, ankles, etc., we also do barium studies (upper GI, barium enema), also tests for kidney problems (IVP), infertility (hysterosalpingogram), and many others. We go to the operating room and operate a machine called a C-arm which takes live pictures during surgeries. We do portable x-rays in ICUs and ERs. Sometimes we even go to the morgue to take x-rays to try to find out how someone died. There is a lot of pulling and lifting patients.

An x-ray technician is the person that positions you for an x-ray and then takes the x-ray. They do not read x-rays nor do they diagnose they merely take the pictures.
Make sure you get an X-ray done and that it will turn out then deliver the X-ray to be sent to the doctor if there is a problem.
My mother was an xray technician ubtil she broke her back moving a 250 lbs. patient.

They mostly exray your mouth and find nothing wrong. Do not get exrays as often as they tell you to. The rems build up in youre body and when you develop cancer from it they will be long gone.Probably to the Bahamas with your money.
